The concept of Life loaning things to us is familiar to me growing up in a Muslim environment. Though I’ve since left organised religion.
It’s easier to practice this with things but it’s harder to practice it with people that we love such as children and parents. The story of Job is an example of this I think.
I’ve been maintaining a gratitude journal for a few months now and I have to admit that sometimes I get stuck trying to find things that I’m grateful for. I can see that gratitude is another path to liberation. All rivers flow to the sea in the end.
