It’s human nature to want to believe we’re further along in any journey than we actually are — to believe we’ve made 100 miles of progress when really we’ve only taken a single step. If you’ve ever dedicated any time to getting good at something, you’ll recognize this. It absolutely sucks to work super hard for a long period of time at improving, then have something occur which shows you you’ve still got a long way to go.
There’s irony in this instinct. Though we try as hard as possible to avoid facing our shortcomings, our shortcomings are ultimately the greatest measure of our success. This applies to manifestation (and even spiritual “progress” more generally), just like it applies to anything else.
Even if you’ve spent months trying to inhabit the state of your desire fulfilled, if I can do or say anything to upset or discombulate you in regard to this feeling, you’re not where you need to be yet. Essentially, if I can bend you, I can break you. And this is a good thing. Because, when you understand it, you’ll be able to supercharge your manifestation successes.
